I love being a newborn photographer so much. When people book their sessions with me and drive from distances, it melts my heart and makes me truly understand the blessing I have and the gift I can give families of capturing their precious newborn babies at such a young, sweet age.
The lovely family came to Sarnia from London. I know it's only an hour, but for some "only" an hour is more like "OMGOSH AN HOUR AWAY?? Uh NO" lol. It happened more when I lived in Caledonia, and had a tonne of clients from Toronto, Oshawa, Niagara and even further...and yet others won't drive 20 minutes (which is why we moved our studio from Camlachie to Sarnia lol).
But either way, willing to travel, or not...it's YOUR babies I'm photographing and I understand the fear of travelling with such precious tiny humans.
As a foster mom of newborn babies, I understand the travel factor. I pick my babies up from all over southern Ontario. It's always a relief arriving home safe and sounds with these sweet little bundles of joy (sleepless nights and all!).
I hope I make it all worth it. After all, these little one's are only this young and this small ONCE. Even the day after our session they will be bigger - even if only an ounce.
Please book your newborn photographer to capture this time in your lives. Stay close to home, or travel hours and sleep at a hotel if it means getting these memories by your favourite photographer - but DO IT. I WISH I had pictures like this when my baby was newborn. She's now 24.
Don't question. Just DO IT!
