Such a sweet little boy who came for his first photoshoot at 12 sweet brand new days outside the womb.
My studio is set to a balmy 86 degrees (and sometimes warmer depending on the amount of people in the studio) so that baby is happy, content and comfortable in his birthday suit or with minimal wrapping.
I usually do my sessions when these little babies are anywhere from 7-21 days old. Why photograph them after day 6? Well, the first couple days baby is just getting colostrum which is so healthy, however when moms milk finally comes in around day 3-5, babies cluster feed, start to get fuller and moms are getting used the routine - or at least starting to make somehwhat of a routine.
I want the baby and especially momma to feel okay when she's in the studio. To be able to relax and enjoy the session and not worry about her milk, or if baby will sleep.
I find day 7-21 is absolutely perfect but my FAVORITE age is day 10.
